Content Editors Needed

Do you want to get into the game industry? Want a cool paid position talking about games? Do you enjoy surfing the net for games news while being able to work from home?


GameGravity (G|G) is currently interviewing for experienced writers/editors to work on information/news gathering and modification tasks. These tasks include researching industry news of interest to our customers and editing that information in order to make it presentable to the site's visitors. Candidates should have a love for gaming and writing.

Game|Gravity is looking for content Editors for:
- Paid to play MMOS
- Free to Play MMOS
- PC Games
- Consoles
- Anime & Manga

This position will begin as a trial period during the Beta for the chosen few. After the trial period, i.e people who make it through this beta, you will become a salaried contractor.

GameGravity is an all-inclusive gaming information website with a strong Focus on MMORPGs that aims to be a "one-stop shop" for gamers. We are a start-up whose founding members possess decade's worth of publishing and marketing experience in the MMO and high-tech sectors.

As a beta editor you are going to be one of 20 editors I bring on board during the course of the Beta. The Beta will have 20 or so beta editors and will have 3 mains task. The Game|Gravity Beta will last until we have 40% of the website complete and are making a minimum amount of money (internal #) from our ads:

Beta Editor Task:

(i)Editors will search the internet for hot game industry topics and post these topics in their fashion on the Game|Gravity forums and later to Game|Gravity guidelines on the main website.

(ii)Beta Editors will help be Community manager for the forums to help us manage and retain our users.

(iii)And finally as a start up, the beta editors will help us think of new features to add for the site as well as brainstorm with me for clever ways to bring more users

Types of Editors, Duties , and how to advance

Level 1: Beta Editors
Duties: Engage community providing them a friendly environment, with news gather from the top 30 game industry websites. "Game|Gravity Where Game News Gravitates"

Level 2: Content Editors
Duties: Same as Beta Editor
Advance: Beta Editors become paid contractors in this position automatically after passing the Beta Editor trail

Level 3: Feature Editors
Duties: Feature editors will write Gamegravity orginal news, feature articles, reviews, etc.
Advance: Content Editors interested in this position should contact the Managing editor of the genre you wish to write for.

Level 4: Associate Editors
Duties: Associate Editors will manage Levels 1-3, assist Managing editors,
Advance: Content Editors interested in management should contact the Managing editor of the genre you wish to write for.

Level 5: Managing Editor
Duties: to manage Lvl 1-4. Be primary point of contact for Developers/publisher in your genre, and assist Editor -in-chief as needed
Advancement: to be determined

Level 6: Editor-in-Chief
Duties: Run the website and all that includes.
Advancement: Must be sitting in the Game|gravity office, rest to be determined

Level 7: Zether
Duties: Our continuing mission is to explore new virtual worlds, to seek out and develop new virtual civilizations, to boldly go where no gamers have gone before…

I'm not sure what you mean "all editors are fired" We did start over and everyone was invited back though.

They are actually in a folder on the old server I think. What we need to do is go to some shows this year and get more.
