RMT: Fluff is of no concern to me - Game|Gravity

A disturbing trend I've noticed these days, after SOE went all RMT out on their customers.

Alot of players have come to the opinion that "RMT for fluff is no concern of me".

I find that rather disturbing, because these players opinion is then that the playerbase that plays for and "lives" for the fluff, the RP'ers, should have to pay extra for their fun.

It's just... disturbing. It don't concern their playstyle/playerbase, thus the one it will affect can go to heck.

Tho I wonder what these "It's only fluff, so it don't matter" players would say if the RMT was for:

Raiders: Raidergear that opens up shortcuts and makes bosses easier to kill.

PvP'ers: PvP armor and weapons that makes non RMT weapons/armor be very ineffective.

PvE'ers: RMT PvE gear that allows the PvE'ers to hunt/kill/grind on beasts only affected by RMT gear.

Would they go "Oh, it's only PvP gear, so it don't matter", or would they suddenly find themselves complaining?

They'd say, it's only. Untill finally they'd say the game is crap cuase you have to pay for everything. in fact i think thats happened before. Some people won't pay for anything, some people will pay for anything and some people 'like myself i'd like to think' will pay for something they believe is worth while. Speaking of wich SRO you suck, how much do you seriously think a pickup pet is worth.
