DSi Coming To North America Before Next Fall? - Game|Gravity

The recently announce revision to the DS may come to North America & other regions outside of Japan next spring or summer. During a speech to analysts today Nintendo president Satoru Iwata hinted this when he said, "Specific plans will be unveiled by our local subsidiaries, but an autumn or year-end launch would probably be too late.”

The Japanese gets the new DS AKA the DSi this Saturday, at a price of ¥18,900 or about $189 USD.

They new DS will feature a better screen, more memory & a camera system. However Nintendo removed the GameBoy slot in the DSi.

No promises it will come on our shores by then, but there's a good chance.

Meh, I like having the gameboy slot. Even if this version came to American shores, I still wouldn't get it.

Same here. Unless they make my favorite gameboy games into DS game and allow people to trade, I"m all set xD. But i guess having more memory isn't bad...wonder how the camera system works too...

Eh, the lack of a gameboy slot is definitely a letdown. Even so, I'm very excited for the DSi and can't wait to get my hands on one of my own. :3
