What instruments do you all play? - Game|Gravity

for me, i've been playing

drums - 6 years, 5 of those with private lessons

piano - 3 years, about 2 of them were private lessons. i lost interest in it recently, though

guitar - about 1 year and a half, 100% self taught.

i also play a bunch of misc. instruments. my favorite being the theremin.

Trumpet - played in school band
Piano - started playing many years ago and recently started again
Guitar - 4ish years of experience, self-taught
Bass Guitar - since Muse released Knights of Cydonia
Banjo - about a year

the only thing i can play on bass is hysteria. but muse is a great band nonetheless.

and only 3 years, zether? talk about a deprived childhood...

I just figured out Hysteria last week on bass and electric. I freakin' love it!

I used to play the clarinet for like a year in my school's band. After it ended i returned it since it was a rental and the next year that came i didn't join band since i moved.
It was fun though, i enjoyed it.

Is auto-learning good or should I take some serious classes?

once you're familiar with the staffs (treble and bass) start to get some sheet music. there's plenty of sites that will give you free sheet music. or, what you can do, is get familiar with all of your scales. if you know your scales, improv will be much easier and will sound 10x better.

the sheet music site that i used to use is called Sheet Music Downloads | Sheet Music Songbooks | Musicnotes.com

and josh, you should try to learn thunderstruck by AC/DC. great song if you can play it.
