I'm trying to spend my money wisely on the next MMORPG I buy (Will P2P as F2P's suck), so can I get some opinions/comparisons?
First off, what does the games have end-game content wise, both PvE and PvP? How does Healing (or Defending in City of Heroes) play, is it spamming, is it thought provoking, is it strategic? How long does it take to get to the end-game for a new player? Anything overall you'd like to mention about Healing in general in the game? Maybe it is some special thing they get, or how they work as they advance, it doesn't have to partake to end-game only. If possible, try to be clear between PvE and PvP, I like both, but I know the mechanics are different between the two. Games I'm currently looking at: WoW CoH/V FFXI WAR Don't be afraid to mention anything else, just support your claim, please. Thanks for all who decide to help! |

Warhammer online... Endgame take about 5 minutes. Although with the lower server population it can take a while longer for the que to get to you.
Warhammer Online isn't really about PvE or PvP. The concept that makes warhammer online so differant is the removal of these two concepts and just makeing it war. You earn exp for fighting for your cuase. PvP or RvR (As is termed) is the same as PvE. Sure you can still define them as PvP or PvE but the game see's no distinction. End game is RvR in the massive constant fight for land that encompasses the whole game. Admittedly at tier II it's easier to earn xp in RvR than PvE but that makes sense. It's harder to defeat a real opponant than npc's. As for healig. It's class dependant. I played the ol gork/mork goblin shaman. The more I cast healing spells the faster and more devestating my Spells become. Its an interesting dynamic. The dark elves feed there healing energy from close combat and cuaseing pain to the enemy. The Sigmarite Priests through combat earn the right to prayer. Changing the dynamic of each class dramticly yet managing to maintain balance. |
