It is one of the first online games I played and actually liked it. I mean, the classes and races are well defined , IMO.

And I love how there are many places where you could explore and fight but at the same time doing it cautiously ,specially in a party since everyone had it's role in it and anything could mess up and the healer wouldn't be able to heal everyone , such great times taking care of party members and monsters, the best moments were in LoA and ToI.

The first character I chose was a human fighter, then I went the Gladiator's path. In most party I was the tank cause, many tanks didn't know how to agro properly and I ended up taking most aggro and protecting the buffers and nukers. That's how I learned how to take care of my HP :P

Nice

I still play this game

I started with a melee Kamael but later i shifted to nuker(storm screamer) for pvp. I use dyes on my nuker for faster skills. Planning to use that on my melee too.

Default Lineage II Review

Lineage II is a 3D medieval-style fantasy based MMORPG. The gameplay is either solo or grouped and either PvE or PvP. In order to gain experience points, new skills, and various item drops, monsters can be battled and quests can be completed. There are various quests at almost all levels that offer great rewards. The skills are mostly the ones that are used against single opponent. But there are few that are used against multiple targets. To travel far distances you can ride pets. There is one pet in the game that can be used to fly too. Other than riding pets can also be used to attack and pick up drops.

There are six choices of races to play from – Human, Elf, Dark Elf, Orc, Dwarf and Kamael. You can enjoy upto 37 classes. In all the races except dwarf and kamael you can start as a fighter or as a mystic. Dwarf and Kamaels can only have fighter class. While creating a character you can customize face, hair and hair color. You can choose to be a male or a female character. There is no difference between male and female characters except for kamaels. The graphics are awesome and very detailed.

A player can keep up to seven characters on a server. A character can have a first class transfer at level 20, second class transfer at level 40 and third class transfer at level 76. You can sub class after reaching level 75 by doing a quest. The newly created sub class starts at level 40 instead of level 1. You can have one main class and three sub classes. To get a second sub class your first sub class should reach level 75 and to get a third sub class your second sub class should reach level 75.You can freely switch the main class and various subclass through the village NPC. There is no time limit or number of times that you can switch classes but the stats change when you switch between subclass. When your first subclass reaches level 75 and you can become a Noblesse by completing a quest. Noblesse is granted special abilities that are primarily used in sieges and raids, giving the Noblesse a leading role in combat. Noblesse who has completed the third class transfer can participate in the Grand Olympiad competition (PVP tournament) and if you get the highest score among your class you become a Hero. Heroes are awarded exclusive weapons, skills, abilities and a distinct aura. If you can’t participate you can just watch The Olympiad competitions.

The game also has castles and fortress that the clans can conquer. The castle sieges are very exciting as both the defenders and attackers are clans comprised of players. So it looks like a mass PVP. So for PVP’s you can also enchant your weapons and armor and can use symbols to change your basic ability values (STR, DEX, CON, INT, WIT, MEN) of your character.

You can also use transformations to get special abilities. There are more than 25 transformations that you can learn. Transformation will change characters appearance either into a cute pet or weird looking depending on the type of transformation.

If you are bored of fighting, then go and catch fish. You can get ingredients for item creation. The crafting system is easy to do but huge quantity of raw materials is needed. To craft weapons and armor you also need recipes which are generally obtained as drops.

Overall the game gives you plenty of action to keep you busy and has the best PvP because winning depends on players strategy rather than characters skill. For detailed information visit Lineage II: The Chaotic Throne - Top Fantasy MMORPG by NCsoft
