Today we issued a Call to Arms to all players of WAR with the announcement of the first live expansion for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. Call to Arms will introduce an incredible array of new content to the game, including two highly anticipated new careers - the head bashin' Orc Choppa and the oath-sworn Dwarf Slayer - and a new dungeon zone called Land of the Dead, set in the desert realm of the Tomb Kings.

Recently Warhammer has been losing servers and players based on the principle of WoW's new content vs Warhammers limited content. I've said this a couple of time elsewhere but I'll say it again. Warhammer online is a great game. It's brought oringinal and well designed idea's to the table (Some of those idea's have been incorporated into that ever so massive MOG we all know and hate.) however against other triple AAA mmo's of the day it lacks maturity.
Over time MMO's gain free and paid-for content alike. It's hard to understand how a fledgling Game like Warhammer was ever going to compete in the long term against such massive titles that have held the market for so long. Although it has struggled there is light. Engouh light I'll be renewing my account and buying another for my wife.

The first event is planned for sometime in march, so for all of you warhammer fans out there who dropped ther accounts due to low poulation (Like myself) or limited endgame (Like a few of my friends) it might be time to dust of your Choppa and prepare for War the way it was meant to be played.
