Default NFS - Undercover

i would like to pause for a moment before i blast EA games

.......

again EAgames has come out with a let down for the NFS fans, specially for the PC version of the game (havent played the console versions)

woulda, coulda, shoulda, been a great game. but failed

EAgames tried to impress after their failed attempt with pro street, but rushed undercover and ultimately the game suffered, and here's the run down.

the concept of the game was impressive for myself, open map, decent looking cars, a sense of realistic driving, but actually playing the game was something different, and a waste of money.

the map
was impressive for its size, the design and layout of it was something different, similar to most wanted and carbon. but lacked in detail the buildings just didnt give a sense of you were in the city.

the cars
had the standard cars you would find in most need for speed games, and looked really nice in the garage, but from most wanted/carbon they skimped on the customization, a handful of standard bodies with limited customization on the body itself, plus every now and then it would lockup and u would have to restart the game. out in the world, even on the highest graphics settings the cars didnt look all that impressive, every now and then some of the cars would be missing some graphics, and the tires looked squarish and not round. though the damage looked ok when u smacked into something around the map. each car had different handling styles to it, though wasnt as realistic as promised.

graphics
needed alot of work before being marketed and sold. strangely enough the game looked better on the lower settings then on the highest, and not enough options to change things around. even on the lowest setting the game would be choppy, every few seconds the game would skip a few frames before continuing on. and also looked more like patchwork and well pure bad.

story
well whats to say, you play a cop that has to infiltrate the underworld of street racing, to find out who has been smuggling items and other stuff, there is no good or bad cop, you just do as your told.
you race to build up points to unlock new parts of the story, cars and parts, though from what i've seen the online modes are fairly good. your actually able to race a cop car to take down street racers, but only problem is the cops are at a disadvantage, your stuck with a basic car while the street racers have their normal cars. pitty.

patches
though there is a nice little thing coming, and thats EA has promise a patch to come out soon. note the news of a patch was released november last year, so who knows when it will come out. must have a lot of things to fix.

overall the game needed alot of work and testing before being released, so heres my scoring for the game

graphics = 2.4
cars = 3
map = 3
story = 4
overall = 3.2

whats more to say, this game could of been alot better, but was rushed and failed.

NFS undercover is nothing new. and the franchise is getting old with no new development or innovations in EA's side.

This franchise has been a joke. Each version of the gam,e seem sto vome with less than the game before.

Then again you all know EA has begun serious development of NFS Online Right ?
