Game Overview:

In Prototype, players take control of Alex Mercer – a dark, genetically mutated shape-shifter with no memory of his past, hell-bent on solving the mystery of his existence as he tears through a densely populated New York City moving with Parkour-style fluidity and consuming anything that gets in his way.

Deceive or Destroy gameplay allows gamers the choice to either blend in with the population and covertly progress through the story, or fully unleash Alex’s powers, and move through New York City like a walking slaughterhouse, taking control of military vehicles, and causing destruction at every turn.

I think this game will be one of the best games of 2009. What do you guys think? Are you gonna buy it, or do you think it isn't worth it?

I looked at the pre release marketing and decided i twas overhype. Just been there done that type of gameplay. Nice graphics though, and perhaps a fun game mechanic. We will se when it hit shelves.

so it's a single player game? We'll have to wait and see. or better yet just inform me if it's worth playing. already wasted enough money on games i don't like.

It's like a mix of GTA and assassin's creed. But I think the main object is to kill and destroy everything

so now that its been released and ppl have actually played. anyone have any opinion on the game? i thought it was rather dissapointing but then again i quit playing after an hour or two cause i just had to do the same thing over and over again.... felt like assassins creed all over again

It was an OK game, I just do not enjoy game's that once you beat the storyline and subquests, it is done. They should add an expansion pack to it, so people like me don't get bored that easily.
