CRC Errors in DLs - Game|Gravity

Wouldn't it be better if the downloaded file is broken down into smaller parts, so that whenever there is a CRC error, we would only have to DL the part where the error is found. Average download time for game clients averages from 5-8 hrs on broadband. Just one CRC error and you're due to wait for another 5-8 hrs, that is, if it doesn't happen on the succeeding tries. It would be frustrating to try on new games, and get held up on these CRC errors.

Hope Game Gravity Tech personnel would address this. Thanks and more power to each and everyone in Game Gravity.

We resupply the downlaod int he format it is supplied to us. Honestly I don't think it's our place to question how the oringinal supplier of the file wants it distributed HOWEVER ! I did hear talk about a torrenting system Wich would illiminate any problems with download errors though myself I rpefer the one large file system. I find less issues that way.

Ill make sure someone look sat your post though and gives it all due consideration.

[EDIT:] Just a note, if you are having problems with a particular file could you psot hte details so we can make usre there isn't an issue with our file server.

well all i can say is that before downloading and to avoid crc error is just close first all the other applications that are running in the back of your cpu.

ouch, i'd hate to be working on a computer with core performance so low it can't hadnle a download.
