Default 8800 ultra or 2 9600gt's?[ Z's Community building copy/paste]

well i have a simple question .... what should i use a 8800 ultra or 2 9600gt's? I am not really video card savvy, all i look at really is the processor speed and how much MB or GB it has. But alot of people still seem to recommend 8800 cards.

I've seen single 8800gts and they are nice, but i've also seen a single 9600gt and that performed well considering. I'm not completely positive but the answer is (Obviously) get a HD4870, otherwiser, I'd pick the 8800. Although I think the dual 9600's have more potential I've heard and seen to many SLI horror stories.
with the prices (Before the ecenomic crisis) on higher end 9 series cards dropping eg 9800's. It's all a matter of what is easier to get your hands on.
Then again

4870HD all the way. Id [icmk 9600 in Sli. Yes sli horrer stories aboundfbut ive seen what a single 9600gt can do I think dual would put an 8800 in its place easily.

btw I own a 4870HD and im more than satisfied with the price/performance.
