Sometimes I turn on the news and I'm astounded by what I see. Before I begin I think I need to make a statement.
To all those suffering due to the
Victorian bushfires, I hope it works out for you. I wish you the best during this trying time, and my sincerest thoughts go with you and your loved ones. I understand that no matter what anyone say's nothing will ever be the same for you, you will never get over this tragedy it will change you andthe way you think about your world. Still my thoughts go with you and I can only hope things will turn and you will see some light in these dark times.
To the volunteer's who riskthere lives assisting, giving up there time freely and willingly. Your's is the greatest service offered to these people, let no one belittle your gift, and remembern no matter the politics that play behind the scenes you have done more tan any person could expect.
Regards, a fellow Australian.
However, to those out there turning a profit from this isaster, those politician's pushing there bullshit using these peoples lives as as staging point, there is nothing I can say that explains my depth of loathing for you and your kind. Having lived through three cases of loss I feel I can understand what these people are going through. More importantly what they will go through as they begin to move on with there lives. Your profiteering is criminal, a debasing of humanity. While you stand in front of those camera's in your 4 figure suits talking about the harsh realities of devestation and loss people are suffering. While you wring your hands in glee as ratings rise or your political movement gains a step children cling to family friends, wondering where there parants are.
If you want to help the people of this tragedy do so anonimously. Don't seek personal gain from there loss, they have suffered enough at the hands of nature, without further suffering at the hands of there fellow men.
If anyone feel's like donating the link is
here, Australian Red Cross.
Why am I making this post ?
I'm an Australian who can understand the harsh nature of the outback, and natures wrath. This loss is something that changes you inside. I can't make anything better, Im not in a financial position to offer a donation that would make a great differance (Though I have done what little I can) but perhaps if even a few people link through and give what little they can, my thoughts can have some quiet helpfull impact as well.
