Game|Gravity Logo Concepts, What do you like?

well

13 a and b are nice, sure. but i associate blue with G|G rather
than orange. imagine, if they pick an orange logo, the site will
be tinted orange as well because orange on blue doesn't go
well.

5 a/b, idk. it just seems wrong to me that the 2nd G in G|G is
more eye-catching than the first. it's accentuating gravity,
rather than game, while IMO game is the base of this community
and the gravity is what flows around it.

i agree with christian on the techno-ish font. it could have looked
okay if you guys had started off with that font, but since you've
chosen a more professional look to begin with, this just doesn't
seem to please the eye as much. therefore, i'd also not pick the
techno-ish font ones.

my vote goes to 4a and 4b.
- the blue tint is what i associate with game|gravity, since the start.
- making the G for Game the blue letter makes more sense because
the accent should be on Game. also, with a blue G at the end, it's
kindof disturbing to my eyes, because it's not natural to have the
"less important" word to the left. idk, hard to explain.
- it looks professional and not too upfront. imo, the orange tint,
besides the fact that everything should be turned into bright orange,
is too light, too much in-the-face. it would be too eye catching for
a logo.

just my 2cents ;] good luck with the choice.

small edit:
- the contrast of the 2 colors on suggestion 4A and 4B is less high
than the contrast of the 2 colors on suggesion 5A and 5B. i think
that's another reason why i find 4A and 4B easier to look at.

Also, to everyone, don't pay any attention to what the logo will match because the skin of the entire website will be completely revamped. Pick what you want the logo to be!

people have different opinions on what a logo should be like.
in my opinion, the orange is too eye-catching. you guys
finally switched from the site you had before, with the bright
blue colors and whatever, and now you have a style all
members seem to be quite pleased with, and you say the
entire layout will be redone? i don't get it.

and i stated my opinion and gave constructive criticism on
the logos and as to why i don't or do like them. but it feels
like this criticism is not appreciated. you tell people to pick
what THEY want to pick, but when i pick blue, i get
told my opinion isn't good?

ah well, suit yourself.
pick the orange logo, make the site bright orange, whatever.
it was finally starting to look professional lol. and don't worry,
i'm going to keep stating my opinion on things, at least until
we're out of beta stage.

4a/b or 13a/b. I prefer 13a/b because of the orange color. It makes it look professional.

I'm not saying that I don't appreciate your opinion, and I certainly don't want to get caught up in a pissing match. Any constructive thoughts are greatly appreciated anytime.
The skin of the main site and the forums we are using is temporary, to get us through the beta stage with something nice to look at but it's a default theme to the CMS. After the site grows in visitors and content we'll start working on a design that's completely original and unique to G|G.

The logo is obviously the most important part of our identity as it'll be on the site and forums, documents, and anything regarding G|G. We really want the community to be a part of shaping the site.

Absolutely. If you guys have any examples or anything that you would want to "base" the logo on or a color scheme or something go ahead and PM me or post it here. We shouldn't rush this process.

alright so this is the part i had misunderstood for a while. i thought
that the bright blue one was the beta interface, and this would be
the entirely new. sounds more logical now, but still i'd personally
pick blue over orange anytime, at least to cover an entire site with.
