Im not gonna debate pedantic technical terms that to be honest (and I'll go out on a limb here) your nor I fully understand properly. Needless to say Team Red is stating that the concept behind SIMD is just a meda Hype and should you take the existing ATi and pull the unit appart you get an existing technology that is quite similar.

Of course both you and I will remember when Nvidia stuck to it's guns in relation to 32bit colour on a gaming card and simply decimated the Voodoo franchise.

PS. I just had a thought. AMD's processors are technilogicly superior to Intel's in terms of multi core computiing (Ignoring the i7) and yet the Core DUO's outperformed the Phenom's in many (If not most) aspects of computing.

That is quite an assumption to make about me, seeing as how I've got a background in IT and related technologies.

And, the i7 outperforms them all.

I stated it was an assumption. To be honest a fair assumption. Saying you have a background in IT is hardly sufficient to argue a point on cpu architecture.

I didnt say you had no idea, I said that I assume you did not fully understand, in the same way that I do not fully understand. We could argue pedantics all week in this forum and it would prove nothing if either of us got our information wrong via point of perception (As opposed to incorrect information or misinformation.)

Yes the i7 outperforms them all (A fact I didn't deny),by a factor of 100% in overall price... im not convinced.

Just thinking again, since Ive been running all over looking up the GT300 (I dread to think it's price) Since Nvidia has given Intel the proverbial finger, will we see a repeat of the Quad Core/SLi issues that plagued so many X4x series boards ?

The new ATi has reportadly hit vendors. The more I read, the more obviious it becomes it will not compete with the GT300 in performance. However on the same scale teh GT300 has plenty of time to hit the Shelves and plenty of time for costs to scale.

What were not arguing who has a better computer :P He has a better computer than me. We were 'discussing' the new GPU's from Nvidia.

Now that you mention it, I've been waiting for a while for my chance to post about the topic. I just can't interfere with your converstion because I don't know much about the technical stuffs. And it's also too serious. BTW, I've been gaming for, I think 7 years now.

pfft, to serious. Just say what you wanna say. Opinions are what drives conversation. I always like to stay a little left of making a comitment with new tech, until it comes out its hard to say what's PR hype and whats the glorious future tech of revolutions.

Don't get me wrong. I still like to have a stand point, I just dont comit untill I hand over the coin.
